Taj-E Featuring Bee2 “Jalebi”
I’m not entirely sure what Taj-E and Bee2 were thinking when they came up with this one. Is it a dance floor hit? Possibly, for the fact of it’s sheer silliness (in a fun and make-you-wanna-yell-out-Jalebi sort of way).
The brothers (who are known to market their work very well) pushed this video hard over twitter, and even though they may or may not have succeeded in accomplishing what they wanted, the video is once again of high quality. Which is something they have been known to bring to the table consistently.
Taj-E “Hai Ni Hai”
Taj-E with the aide of Meet Malkit and Bee2 come through in another well produced video from the Sound Pipe Records camp.
Bee2 & Taj-E featuring Dhani “La Bhangra”
I’m posting this up for the novelty of it, just like how they probably made it for the same reason.
Unbelievably, you can buy it from iTunes.
Taj-E featuring Bee2 “Dar Lagda”
Don’t get me wrong, I really think Taj-E has talent, and the Sound Pipe Records have released a somewhat consistent quality amount of songs and videos, and they sure as hell know how to market their various enterprises.
But this song should be a lesson in when good production is bogeyed up with bad vocals.
It was a valiant effort at making a song that is based on a different angle, incorporating a vampire theme and all (but that was soo 2010 though no?)
All things aside, I hope the rest of 2 Sik’n'Twisted offers up some excellent tracks, as the first album was in solid rotation for months.
Is Juggy D a Don?
So last week, twitter was abuzz with the whole Jay Sean/Wiley beef.
If you care, you can read about it
And listen to the Radio Interview
Now I don’t condone any of the behaviour demonstrated by any of the parties involved. But, my investigative nature peaked when I saw the following tweet:

This led me to further look into the Punjabi Rockstars career, and try and decipher:
Is it his dance moves?
Is it because he knows Bradley from S Club 7?
Is it because he was in a Bollywood film?
It must be the cornrows right?
Is it because he’s released one album in seven years and living off that hype with performances all across the world? (I think we’re getting warmer)
Is it because he had Jin from the Ruff Ryders camp on his song?
I know, it has to be the Adidas Track Suits.
No, it’s definitely got to be the tongue piercing.
Alright I admit, this investigative journalism degree I have started to show people was printed from Google Images. It may be best if go back to the drawing board.
Note: Before people want to start a “measuring contest” I am fully aware of what Jagwinder Dhaliwal has really accomplished. If you aren’t up to speed, read his Wikipedia page.
Juggy D 2: Punjabi Rockstar is out soon.
Sting-A-Man “Peeni Halle Hor” Video
Taj-E Sting A Man released his debut album “Sting is King” last week. The first video off the album is “Nach Bhabiye” I mean “Majajne” I mean “Peeni Halle Hor” featuring the vocals of Bakshi Billa.
(Sigh, another case of not-so-blatant ghost production)
Battle of the iPhone Tumbi Applications
I don’t know how it happened, but two iPhone Tumbi Apps released virtually at the same time from two separate artists in the Bhangra industry.
First there was the Tumbi Nut, created and sold by The Sound Pipe Records.
You may have seen it in action in the Nach Bhabiye video.
Soon after the release of Tumbi Nut, came the release of iTumbi, created by and associated with Panjabi MC.
I don’t have an iPhone, so I can’t give you first hand knowledge as to what I would think is the best App, although I tried the “Dhol Nut” App and I couldn’t get the hang of it.
But scope the following, and I think you will be sold on one App versus the other.
Well as they say, “The champ is here.”
I’m sold. Even though it’s free.
(%&$# me! PMC is too sick)
