Taj-E’s Sik ‘n’ Twisted Released Today

Sik n Twisted Cover

Taj-E’s 21 track album has been released today, and going by the following video clips, we get a great glimpse into Taj-E growing up alongside music, and becoming the talent he is today. As you can see, there is some solid production involved. One track involves a Dilruba, now that’s some sexy music.

We also get to hear a snippet of the Juggy D track “Vang Teri,” that will be the next video release from the album. It’s an upbeat track with the signature Juggy D sound, accompanied with Juggy D dance moves.

Track listing:

1. Sik ‘n’ Twisted – Y.Paul and Dhadha Ji
2. Vang Teri – Juggy D
3. Return of Jeona – Mukki G
4. Bundook – Kaka Bhaniawala
5. Hik Da Jorr – Nirmal Sidhu
6. B.I.G – Bee2
7. Passe Hatt – Preet Kalyan
8. Tord Di Daru – Rashi Ragshri & Bee2
9. Only for You – Bee2
10. Break of Dawn – Nitasha & Kaos
11. Viyah – Salim
12. Yarr Marr – Rajia Dhillon
13. Back in 1998 – Taj E and Bee2
14. Down Side Up – Horizon
15. Giddha Pao – Bee2
16. The Bangle Remix – City Boy Bradley, Juggy D, Y Dre, & Horizon
17. Poison – Gopi Sarao
18. Dangerous – Taj E & Horizon
19. River of Pain – Rashi Ragshri
20. Bundook Raw – Kaka Bhaniawala
21. Seasons – Instrumental

I e-mailed Taj-E earlier, and he told me that the physical album will not be available in North America yet. However, it will be available on iTunes in May. So for now, log on to The Sound Pipe Records to order the album (if you cannot wait.) The album costs £7.99, and shipping to Toronto, Canada is £0.71.

Taj-E “Bundook” Video

Before I say anything about this video, I just want to say that Kaka Bhainiawala is a PIMP! Tracksuit tops and all.

Right.

This is Taj-E’s first video off the Sik ‘n’ Twisted album. It’s got a different vibe to the vid that we haven’t seen before in UK Bhangra, but it doesn’t really tell a story, and that could have been something interesting had it been explored. Weird ending.

The highlight of the video, definitely has to be those little kids doing there thing. For you Hip Hop heads, you may have seen that before though right?

I’m liking the track as well. I guess I have this thing for songs with lyrics like “modhe uteh rendiya bundook.”

Sik ‘n’ Twisted is slated to release next month. You can check out the Sik ‘n’ Twisted site for updates on that front.

As you can see by the dedicated website to the album, it will be pushed heavily.

What you think?

Taj E “Sik ‘n’ Twisted” Promo Video

The Sound Pipe Records utilize YouTube to the fullest when promoting their albums.

This promo is a little different compared to the usual fanfare of “coming soon..with so and so and blah blah blah.”

We also get a quick sample of the Kaka track at the end of the promo, titled “Bundook.”

Taj E’s “Sik ‘n’ Twisted” is slated for an April release.

Taj-E in the Studio

Here’s an interesting video displaying Taj-E’s skills in the studio.

For you aspiring Producers, this is a little glimpse into what you need to go through if you want to make a song.

But this video shows more than just that. It shows the separation between Producer and Musician. Taj-E is playing the instruments himself. Some Producers would go on and sample other people playing them. Is there a difference in the end product? Probably not. But should talent like this go unnoticed? Definitely not.

After watching the video, I also need to ask, where have these skills been in previous Taj-E albums? I really hope we get to see this talent used to it’s full potential when Sik ‘n’ Twisted releases.

Taj-E “Sik ‘n’ Twisted” Promo Video

Sound Pipe Records artist Taj-E is just about set to release his album “Sik ‘n’ Twisted” in April. From the clip, I see the lineup consists of Juggy D, Kaka (looking rather pimp in Puma) and Nirmal Sidhu.

UPDATE

Taj-E passed along an email, adding to the list of singers with Bee2 as well as Bradley from S Club 7. He also stated that the album is Desi, with a bit of Urban RnB and Hip Hop. Here’s to hoping Rachel Stevens is in one of the videos.

I haven’t been a Taj-E fan, I found his last two albums a little too slow for my liking. However, this album sounds better, and we finally get to see some new material from Juggy D.

What do you think?
