DJs Inc Reproduced Download

A little grime never hurt anyone.

Another monster download for you guys to enjoy, and this is some exclusive stuff.

Last week, you were able to download The Psychedelic Singh Reproduced segment he did on the BBC Asian Network. This week, I was able to get the DJs Inc Reproduced segment as well.

OK, it’s not exactly Bhangra, but this mix is sick, and I know you will enjoy it. The boys have definitely got some production skills.

I didn’t get the tracklisting this time, but “Lonely” has been a song I’ve been listening to for months now, and “I Love Curry” is in a word…original.

The file has been provided courtesy of the BBC Asian Network. Thus, hearing Bobby Friction’s intro at the beginning.

Also a monster thanks to Aman Sahota of DJs Inc for arranging the download.

DJs Inc’s album “A New Age” is available for digital download here

If you like their music, the “Neva Eva” song and a mix featuring Tupac and Biggie are individually available for free download on the DJs Inc – Mando Grime web site.

Man, I’m spoiling you guys.

Free Psychedelic Singh Download

Happy Diwali Bhangraw fam.

I tried thinking of a variety of ways to help celebrate the day with you guys. I thought of putting on a huge fireworks display in my backyard, lining up divas all the way to London, or personally delivering a box of Ladoos to each and every one of you.

But I couldn’t wrap my head around the logistics.

So instead, I have a monster download for you guys, and if you’re like me, you won’t need to see any fireworks tonight, because the colours you’ll see listening to this will be enough.

His name is Amarik Singh aka “The Psychedelic Singh” and I swear this guy is a frickin musical genius. I heard his music on the Friction show a couple of months ago, and was instantly addicted to it.

Last week, Bobby Friction managed to challenge Amarik to reproduce a set of songs. The end result is a sound you’ve never heard before.

I got a hold of Amarik last week after the show, and he was kind enough to pass on the 20 minute set to me to share with you guys.

You know when some women are pregnant, they strap on a set of headphones around their tummies, and play classical music to help stimulate the kid? If I was in said situation, I’d be urging wifey to be pumping Tigerstyle, PMC, Swami and Psychedelic Singh through the Amniotic Airwaves. That’s how ridiculously pimp this music is.

(Scientific fact/warning of the day – Only play up to 1 hour max of music for your unborn fetus)

I tried my best to ask Amarik a few questions about how old he was? Who his influences are? This is the reply I got:

Hailing from Bradford, England, Amarik Singh started creating music during the Electronic Punk Era whilst playing in various bands. It’s only in the last few years that Amarik has got back into creating music and experimenting with Bhangra and Electronic Music. With his main influences coming from the Psychedelic Era. Producer Amarik creates his sound by playing his own instruments including the Guitar, Drum, Keyboards and the Bass. At the moment he is working on his solo project ‘Quantum Soup’ and ‘Quantum Masala’

Reproduced Tracklisting

Amarik Singh featuring Lal Chand Yamla Jatt – Maa Diyan
Amarik Singh featuring Mohammed Siddiq & Ranjit Kaur – Oh Mundiyan
Amarik Singh vs Goldfrapp & Norman Greenbaun – Punjabi in the Sky
Amarik Singh featuring A.S. Kang – Gidhian De Rani
Amarik Singh featuring Musarrat Nazir – Apne Chobarre Je Main
Amarik Singh featuring Musarrat Nazir – Chitta Kukkar Banere

The first 2 and last 2 tracks are simply awesome.

Alright, enough biggin up. Download the track here

As well, you can show Amarik your appreciation for his work, and listen to some other tracks by hitting up his MySpace page here
