Popsy featuring Premi “Ajo Sare Nachiye”
Wow! It’s good to see these guys in a video after quite some time. (Haha, as a Johal Premi fan, Mother Bhangraw will be happy to see this.)
Popsy’s “Hyper” is out now.
Old School Sunday – Mac G “Sharaabi”
Going back to 2001, this track is for the alcoholics, or those that just enjoy a good drinking song with great music.
Mac G released this track on the EP “Ambersariya.” I didn’t really dig this tune back then, because I was so into the whole Bhangarage genre, that “Ambersariya” was the only song for me. But I soon came around. I love the Qawaal type of vibe it gives off.
As the cover of the album states, this is from the forthcoming album “The Return” which was a rather disappointing album, with the exception of a few songs (namely “Nachi Yaaro”.)

Rana Sahota “Khadke Glassy” Video
The premiere video of Rana Sahota’s debut single.
More encouraging songs for today’s youth. Move along. Nothing new to see here, besides a girl getting spritzed with some cheap champagne at the 2 minute mark. (sigh)
Tarli Digital Set to Release “Project Rehab”
After a four year layoff, Tarli Digital is back with the upcoming release of “Project Rehab.”
The album boasts a wide array of quality vocalists including: Bakshi Billa, Yudhvir Manak, HS Talwar, Master Saleem, Mangi Mahal and more.
Check the promo for three of the tracks off the album:
“Yaar Veli” – Mangi Mahal, “Gut Nagan” – Tej Hundal, “Vair” (Old School Manak Refix) – Yudhvir Manak
Since Tarli entered the game, the man has been heavily underrated. My favourite tracks of his have been “Rang Pak Deh” and “Nachde Punjabi”. Nachde Punjabi had a killer sample by Dr. Dre. So I asked Tarli, if this album (by the sounds of it) would be more traditional, or if there still will be some sampling going on.
Tarli responded by saying;
“The album is a total new approach, hence why I’ve spent 4 years on it.”
He added,
“I’m on a continuous learning curve and you will notice from the promos how my sound has matured yet still keeping my style intact.”
The first video was also released yesterday. Check out the medley video featuring the tracks “Yaar Veli” (Mangi Mahal) and “Do Tara” (Bakshi Billa.)
The album is set to release on June 26 in the UK, on the Kamlee Records label.

Yugraj “Chan Varga Chamkara/Kala Tikka” Video
This is Yugraj’s first video from the upcoming album “Chan Varga Chamkara” set to release on June 12 on Kamlee Records.
After watching the video, a few things are evident. As you can probably tell, the production has been handled by Tigerstyle. After listening to “Mystics, Martyrs & Maharajas” their sound has become unmistakable, which makes these tunes less appealing. I just heard this sound for the better part of 17 songs, and the two tracks in this video are yawnable because of it. Not to take away from Yugraj’s vocals, but if you close your eyes, do you imagine Bikram Singh singing these songs? I do. Is that Tigerstyles fault???
