Twin Beats – “Dil Vich Tareya” & “Nath Digpaye” Video
I posted about Twin Beats last month when I dropped their new Kaka tune as well as a free download featuring the legend Kuldeep Manak.
Earlier this week, they dropped their debut video featuring the tracks “Dil Vich Tareya” and “Nath Digpaye.”
I’m digging the tunes in the video. It’s like each song has a different percussion led beat, and going by the promos, the whole album sounds very promising.

Free Download – Twin Beats “Manak Drops the Pressure”
Twin Beats is preparing to release their debut album “The Sounds of Punjab,” and going by the following tracks, it sounds like there is something to look forward to in what seems like a pretty dull moment in the industry.
The first official single off the album will be “Dil Vich Tareya” sung by the late Kaka Bhaniawala. The intro beat is pretty sweet and it carries over into the rest of the song. I totally get this Surjit Bindrakhia vibe from the tune.

Also, a new track was recently added to the BBC Asian Network playlist by Twin Beats featuring Jelly Manjitpuri and Sudesh Kumari, going by the title of “Nath Digpaye”. It’s another solid BIG tune by the duo.
No official release date is confirmed, but vocalists featured on the album will be Sudesh Kumari, Jelly Manjitpuri, Sabar Koti, Rani Randeep, Bikram Singh, The Late Kaka Bhaniawala, Bakshi Billa, Romesh Chohan and Jaswinder Daghamia.

“Manak Drops the Pressure”
Here’s a free download provided by Twin Beats. I have been listening to this for awhile now, and still haven’t grown tired of it. If you like Kuldip Manak and House music, this tune is for you. The Manak tune is “Ghariya Milan Deh,” while the House sample is taken from a 2004 track called “Drop the Pressure,” by Mylo. So you can understand how the title of the song came about.

U Music “Nachle” Video
The latest DJ collabo turn Producers, going by the name of U Music are set to release their debut album “The Intro.”
The first video release “Nachle,” features the vocals of the late Kaka Bhaniawala.
I’m just not feeling the tune, it seems a little slow for a song that’s asking you to dance no?
X1X Film and Design are behind the shooting of the video, and while they do a fine job as always, what is the correlation of dancing and racing cars for a woman? If you can figure that out let a playa know.

DJ Gurps “Daru Peeke Nachda” Video
DJ Gurps’ second video features the late Kaka Bhaniawala on the track “Daru Peeke Nachda.”
I get the feeling I’ve heard this song before. Oh wait I have. It was on DJ Dips album “Stand Up Vol. 1.”
I don’t know what Gurps (or Dips for that matter are playing at.) Even the sound seems a little, umm, Kam Frantic/Zeusish.
Moving on, I wasn’t feeling the track on Dips’ album, and I really haven’t swayed now I have seen the video.
DJ Gurps’ album “Expectations” released over the past weekend. Despite my opinion of the first two video’s released, I suggest you go out and buy the “Boliyan” track featuring “Sarbjit Kaur” from the VIP Records download section ($0.99 or £0.79.) The music to the Boliyan are just too funky. (I have really been feeling all the Boliyan released as of late.)

DJ Jagz “Devil’s Eye” Video
DJ Jagz, a newcomer onto the Bhangra scene is set to release his debut nine track album “My Moment,” on the Sound Pipe Records label on August 30, 2009.
The first video “Devil’s Eye,” features the vocals of (Late) Kaka Bhaniawala.
Other vocalists featuring on the album include, Kuldeep Manak, Mukki G and Rajia Dhillon.

Dark MC “Chori Chori” Promo
I am truly looking forward to this CD. “It’s Getting Dark in Here” was a bad man’s album!
Now Dark MC is on his way back, with a new ten track album featuring what he is calling the anthem of 2009.
“Chori Chori.” features the vocals of Jaswinder Daghamia, and his vocal abilities have not been utilised by many Producers. (If you haven’t heard “Gabru Gulab Warga” on Gupsy Aujla’s album, you are missing out!)
“Incisive,” which is set to be released on the MovieBox label in the fall, will feature vocals by (Late) Kaka Bhaniawala, Nirmal Sidhu, Labh Janjua and more.
The tracks are predominantly written by Bhindi Laltonwala. I’m sure you have heard tracks written by him before, including the free downloads Dark MC gave away in June. I don’t know what’s been going on with Bhindi Laltonwala as of late, because his lyrics make me want to go out and do baaaaad things.

SupaStarz “Punjab” Promo
New Delhi born Gaurav Sahdev, and Ludhiana born Pranay Sharma form SupaStarz, a duo that is looking to showcase and pit their skills against the UK and North American based Producers.
You may have already heard of some of the tracks they produced on DJ H & Rags “Reloaded” (Jawani Remix,) as well as DJ Dips “Stand Up Volume 1″ (Gal Sun.)
I wasn’t interested in those mixes at all, but what I am really interested in, is this promo of theirs.

DJ Gurps “Expectations”
DJ turned Producer Gurpreet Mudher, has been in the game for a decade spinning records for top artists in the industry. Now it’s time for him to show us what he can do behind the boards with the release of his debut “Expectations.”
The ten track album, which will release at the end of July on the VIP Records label, features Manak-E, (Late) Kaka Bhaniawala, Labh Janjua, Nirmal Sidhu, Bakshi Billa and more.

Download The Dark MC’s “Baarah Boredi”
The Dark MC hit us with some crazy tracks back in 2007, when he released “It’s Getting Dark in Here.”
