“Door Ni Kulne” in 30 Seconds
Since the dawn of the interwebz, everything has been about instant gratification.
So with that in mind I thought, why should we sit through an entire four minute bhangra video, when you can get the gist of it in under 30 seconds?
And what song would help kick off this segment best, than one of the most successful (over 900,000+ views and counting) videos/songs of late; “Door Ni Kulne”
Roach Killa “Yaara Dil Dara” Video
A lot of Canadian content on this track.
First off we got Roach Killa spitting on the first track off his upcoming album “The Revolution.” We also have Canadian singer Shahid Ali Khan providing the chorus to the track, and finally we have Jazz Virk directing the video.
Production is handled by Surinder Rattan, who has done some work in the past with Roach.
Although I’m not feeling Roach’s vocals, I am digging the concept, the locations and the cinematography of the video, as well as the chorus of the track. Shahid has done an awesome job conveying his lyrics, and I think that would be the one thing that would bring me back to listen to this track repeatedly.
The album is set to release some time this month. For more info, hit up Roach Killa’s MySpace Page
Jaz Dhami “Tera Mera” Video
“Tera Mera” is Jaz Dhami’s fourth video release off his already released debut album “JD.”
The track explores the feelings associated with going through a break up, and being unable to move on.
I’m still not sold on Jazz Dhami, but I think this type of music and vocals suit Jaz way more than his tracks like “Theke Wali.” Jaz has a more smoother voice, rather than something more raw, which is better suited for an all out bhangra track. If he manages to focus on these type of tracks, I think he can carve out a solid market for himself.
The video was shot in Spain, and directed by Mississauga, Ontario native, Jazz Virk.
Jaz Dhami “Theke Wali” Video
I am waaay behind in posting!
Jaz Dhami’s second video release, off the upcoming album to be released late this summer. (The first being “Roj Miliye.”)
Production of this track is provided by Aman Hayer, and the video has been directed by Canadian, Jazz Virk.
Slowly, the song has begun to grow on me.
Angrez Ali “Phattey Chak” Video
I wasn’t on the whole Aman Hayer/Angrez Ali vibe before, but this track has me feeling differently. “Phattey Chak” is the first track off Angrez Ali’s recently released album “Ik Din,” with production handled by Aman Hayer.
The Video was directed by Mississauga, Ontario native Jazz Virk, who also was the man behind the Jazzy B “Rambo” video.
Speaking of Aman Hayer, he recently signed a three album deal with MovieBox. More info on those projects as promos come through, but one is definitely going to be “Groundshaker 3.”
