Gtown Desi Release “1134″
Looks like we have our first substantial release of 2010, with the release of Gtown Desi’s “1134.”
The album quietly went on sale yesterday on the VIP Records website, and I’m sure it will soon reach iTunes.
For now, have a listen to promos of seven of the thirteen tracks that will be on the album.

Lok Tath is by far my favourite tune. I thought Drum n Bass had been long dead in the Bhangra genre, but with this track, it’s back in a big way.
The PR release for the album had stated that the album had been in the works for 5 years, and after listening to Tor Vehka, I realised, that it had already been released in 2005 on Pure Desi Vol. 1.
With the release of the album, came the release of the video. Take a look at the video premiere of “Peerh.”

Gtown Desi “Peerh” Promo
I posted about the guys, and their track “Peerh” last year
Well, the boys can finally say they are set to release their debut album next month.
Their press release is saying all the right things, such as, the group is focused on quality over quantity, and that they have spent five years on producing this record (of course, the pitfall of that can be that their ideas are now dated.)

Gtown Desi Debut Teaser “Peer”
Gtown Desi are a group of five lads from Scotland, each bringing their own musical talent and ability to the table to create their own unique sound.
The group is comprised of DJ Bobby B, MC Jay Jagpal, Mr Vin, DJ Gully and Oz-E.
Their debut album “1134″ is scheduled for release later this Summer on VIP Records (VIP is running things at the moment)
