Hot damn I haven’t posted anything in over a month! Instead of an apology however, I’ll do you guys one better.

Twin Beats were kind enough to provide this mix that they had made for Bobby Friction (it aired on Friction this past Tuesday)
Labeled as a “Progressive Desi Mix,” it contains current favourite songs of mine, some favourite songs of the general Bhangra loving world, and what will soon be some new favourites of yours, including some fresh new material from Twin Beats.

Twin Beats “Nain Nashiley” Remix Released
Bill Simmons was right, “it’s great to be back in the mid-’80s again.”
After hitting you with the ultra smooth “Dil Vich Tareya” Remix, Twin Beats are at it again with their second of three “alternative” remixes they will be releasing from reworked songs off “The Sounds of Punjab.”
The Twins describe this remix as an ‘electro/disco house mix.’ Catch a sample below, and tell me those synths aren’t making you reach for a white suit and t-shirt.
The song is now available for download from iTunes.
P.S. That Cassette graphic is “Totally Rad!”

Twin Beats “Tere Nain Nashiley” Video
I am definitely feeling the Twin Beats album “The Sounds of Punjab.”
But this is one of the few tracks on the album I am not. Bikram Singh just hasn’t done much for me lately, well since “American Jugni” honestly, and the whole Bhangra Reggaeton vibe? Is something I could live without. Although this may be one of the better sounding ones.
If you don’t want to stick around for the Bikram Singh, make sure you watch the ending, to hear a preview of their next track “Mitran Naal Gidhe Vich.” How could I describe it? I’ll go with it being “vintage.”
Like I was saying, there are some ill cuts on the album, and it’s definitely one that should be on your shortlist of albums to cop.

Twin Beats – “Dil Vich Tareya” & “Nath Digpaye” Video
I posted about Twin Beats last month when I dropped their new Kaka tune as well as a free download featuring the legend Kuldeep Manak.
Earlier this week, they dropped their debut video featuring the tracks “Dil Vich Tareya” and “Nath Digpaye.”
I’m digging the tunes in the video. It’s like each song has a different percussion led beat, and going by the promos, the whole album sounds very promising.
“Kach Di Glassi” – Bakshi Billa
“Tere Nain Nashiley” – Bikram Singh
“Twins Tappe” – Jaswinder Daghamia
Now those are some good vocalists, but the entire lineup is pretty crazy. Check the track listing:
01 – Dil Vich Tareya (Kaka Bhaniawala)
02 – Nath Digpaye (Sudesh Kumari & Jelly Manjitpuri)
03 – Kach Di Glassi (Bakshi Billa)
04 – Tere Nain Nashiley (Bikram Singh)
05 – Nanke V Dhadke (Rani Randeep)
06 – Kar Gayian Sauda (Sabar Koti)
07 – Twins Tappe (Jaswinder Daghamia)
08 – Mitran Naal Gidhe Vich (Anil)
09 – Challa Ishq De Rang (Romesh Chohan)
10 – Marda Lalkara (Bakshi Billa)
I haven’t heard Romesh Chohan in a minute, so I’m definitely looking forward to his track.
The album will be dropping very soon, so keep your eye on VIP Records Digital Downloads page to cop the album.
Bikram Singh “Pehlee Tor Di Sharaab & Telephone” Video
Last week the Bikram Singh video “Tip Top” was released, and now that the official release date has been set to October 3rd, the public may have forgotten who Bikram Singh is, and have decided to release the “Pehlee Tor Di Sharaab & Telephone” medley video.
Of course I don’t know what is going on behind the scenes, but if it’s just a label cock up, I would be mad ticked if I was Bikram. Seriously, what I would give to run PR for these people.
Bikram Singh “Tip Top” Video
I don’t know what’s going on in the Bikram camp. I had posted the promo video for “Telephone” last month, and now he releases the “Tip Top” video instead.
I got no news as to the official release date on the album (pure delayage.) But I’ll give the guy credit, his album sounds much better than “American Jugni” did, and it definitely has more creative song titles.
UPDATE:Thanks to Joraver for getting a hold of VIP Records, and finding out the release date for now is September 26, or the end of the month.
Bikram Singh “Pehle Tor Di Sharaab & Telephone” Video Promo
It’s definitely something different, I’ll give Bikram that. But we all know, when we say something is different, we’re usually just being polite.
Bikram Singh “Telephone” Promo
This is officially the first song to be on Bikram’s first video from the album “Tip Top.”
I’m not feeling this tune at all. It’s not a dance number, it’s not a driving song, it’s definitely not a chilling out song. Maybe it can be used as a ringtone? Or your voice mail greeting? If you have any clue what it’s for lemme know.
Maybe it will grow on me.
