Kulvinder Johal “Mundeh Panjabi/Sun Baliyeh” Video
The Kulvinder Johal album released a couple of weeks ago, and here gos the second video featuring the songs “Mundeh Panjabi” and “Sun Baliyeh.”
I’m doing some serious head bouncing to “Sun Baliyeh.”
En Karma “Tere Bina Nahi Nachna” Video
En Karma are ready to release their debut album, in fact it’s going to release tomorrow (July 30.)
This is a big album release in more ways than one.
First off, the sixteen track album is a Canadian product. Secondly, the album is a product of a band. Not a DJ, not a Producer with a number of collaborations, but one group of guys in it together from the get go.
We heard a tasty sample, when they released “Tohar Naal Jeena.”
And now we get to see what H-Dhami could do with En Karma.
I’ve never been a fan of H-Dhami. But his vocals with Inder Kooner sound pretty good.
DJ Sanj “Neriyan/Ni Aaja Teray” Video
DJ Sanj is back with the release of American Desi. The anticipated release should have been something special, I thought maybe someone with enough experience as DJ Sanj and all that he has accomplished, he would be beyond the in your face sampling stage.
I was wrong.
True, the market in North America is different from the UK market, as people here don’t mind a sample in their music. Thanks to people like Sanj, we are used to it.
But for us Bhangra lovers with a discerning taste (who may or may not like to drink a cup of tea with a pinky out,) find that the music on the two songs featured in the video was not worth waiting around for. To top it off, I think this was probably one of Miss Poojas best vocals that I have heard in some time.
On the flip side, the one saving grace on the album, was the Master Saleem track. I have had “Teray Hussan De Marre” on repeat for some time.
Spend the 99 cents on a quality track.
Buy American Desi on iTunes.
Sting-A-Man “Peeni Halle Hor” Video
Taj-E Sting A Man released his debut album “Sting is King” last week. The first video off the album is “Nach Bhabiye” I mean “Majajne” I mean “Peeni Halle Hor” featuring the vocals of Bakshi Billa.
(Sigh, another case of not-so-blatant ghost production)
Kulvinder Johal “Mundeh Panjabi” Press Release
Having broken records with the smash hit single ‘Johal Boliyan’; Vip Records are proud to present the debut album by folk vocalist Kulvinder Singh Johal titled ‘Mundeh Panjabi’.
The 10 track album has been produced by Kaos Productions & also features three singles by Tru Skool; the producer behind ‘Johal Boliyan’ which spent an incredible seven weeks at the top of the BBC Asian Network digital download chart.
With ‘Johal Boliyan’ already a firm fixture for dance floors across the UK, ‘Mundeh Panjabi’ promises to deliver further anthems, only adding to the already long list of hit songs by Kulvinder Singh Johal.
The single ‘Sun Baliyeh’ was given its exclusive first play on the distinguished Nihal show on BBC Radio 1, with ‘Mundeh Panjabi’ being premiered by Bobby Friction on the BBC Asian Network.
The album will be supported by another high quality video medley for the tracks ‘Mundeh Panjabi’ and ‘Sun Baliyeh’ which will be airing shortly.
With Johal Boliyan still riding high in the charts, ‘Mundeh Punjabi’ is set to become the essential sound track for the summer.
The 10 track album is out in all Asian music shops and iTunes on the 8th of July 2010.
