DJ Rags “Jordi”
DJ Rags slows it down on his track “Jordi” with the help of Bee2 and Taj-E. I was expecting a remix or a reggaeton breakdown towards the end of the song (considering this being a Sound Pipe Records video) but was pleasantly surprised that none of that occurred.

Turn the volume up to appreciate this joint. I heard this promo the other day and switched it off, then gave it another go today with the volume up, and was pleasantly surprised.

Taj-E featuring Bee2 “Dar Lagda”
Don’t get me wrong, I really think Taj-E has talent, and the Sound Pipe Records have released a somewhat consistent quality amount of songs and videos, and they sure as hell know how to market their various enterprises.
But this song should be a lesson in when good production is bogeyed up with bad vocals.
It was a valiant effort at making a song that is based on a different angle, incorporating a vampire theme and all (but that was soo 2010 though no?)
All things aside, I hope the rest of 2 Sik’n'Twisted offers up some excellent tracks, as the first album was in solid rotation for months.

Battle of the iPhone Tumbi Applications
I don’t know how it happened, but two iPhone Tumbi Apps released virtually at the same time from two separate artists in the Bhangra industry.
First there was the Tumbi Nut, created and sold by The Sound Pipe Records.
You may have seen it in action in the Nach Bhabiye video.
Soon after the release of Tumbi Nut, came the release of iTumbi, created by and associated with Panjabi MC.
I don’t have an iPhone, so I can’t give you first hand knowledge as to what I would think is the best App, although I tried the “Dhol Nut” App and I couldn’t get the hang of it.
But scope the following, and I think you will be sold on one App versus the other.
Well as they say, “The champ is here.”
I’m sold. Even though it’s free.

Taj-E feat. Bee2 “Nach Bhabiye” Promo
The Sound Pipe Records are the kings of marketing. Despite some questionable signings, the duo that is BEE2 and Taj-E, always find a way to promote themselves and their products in a well thought out and entertaining manner.
Take for example their next release of “Nach Bhabiye.”
Will it be the wedding anthem of the summer? We’ll see.
(I hate how the industry predominantly revolves around the summer. Sigh)
