Check out the above promo for Aman Sandhu’s debut single “Koka Nakhro Da.”
I think it’s safe to say, this is the first good free download for Bhangra lovers in 2010 no?
Aman Sandhu was born and raised in Chandigarh, India, and has recently hooked up with a Toronto-based producer (who is also making his debut with this track) named sOe.

Indy Sagu has worked on an album of remixes titled “INDYNATION.” So far he has released two of the remixes; Fabolous’ 2004 track “Breathe” and Missy Elliott’s 2001 track “One Minute Man.”
Of the two, Fabo’s track has the better sounding music, but I’ll leave you guys to decide.
As you can see from the album art, Indy will continue to release more bootleg remixes, and I’ll post them up as he does.
Fabolous – Breathe

What a great way to start the New Year.
I got this mix from Rav-E (a resident DJ and Dhol player at San Francisco’s Non Stop Bhangra) this morning. I gave it a quick listen, broke out of my chair busting a move, and figured I should post this up asap. This mix has just the right BPM, and I’m sure, as it has me still doing it, will have you toe tapping and bouncing in your chairs in no time.
Rav-E says he is all about spreading Bhangra to new ears and breaking cultural barriers, and from what I’ve heard, the Bay Area Bhangra party’s are real fun. If you’re in the San Francisco Area, you can keep track of him and Non Stop Bhangra by checking out nonstopbhangra.com and myspace.com/deejayrave

After hooking up with Bharat Goel on “Genda Phool,” RKZ has collaborated with him again, and presents us with another free download.
The track plays along the same lines as “Genda Phool,” with a sample taken from the movie Life Partner. Yet again, it works.

VIP Records wanted to give something in return to their fans just to say thank you for all the support you have shown them. They decided to give away “Janaab” (House Remix) made by Harv Randhawa, which is going to be released as a bonus track on “Pure Desi Vol 3,” releasing in January, 2010.
Head on over to VIP Records to download the track.
More goodies to share with the Bhangraw fam, as Delhi 2 Dublin have hooked up with MC Rup Sidhu to put together what they call “a bass driven rework of ‘Apples.’”
If you still don’t know what “Apples” is, check out the video here.

Toronto’s very own Culture Shock Trio (Baba Kahn, Lomaticc and Sunny Brown) are giving up their album for a free download.
The album has a decent selection of tracks ranging across various genres. My favourite tunes have to be their older ones (“Tonight” and “Slip and Fall”) which have both been remastered and packaged in this download.
Hit up 747records.com for the download.
Or hit up the link Baba Kahn has provided here.
And just for good measure, another link here.
I first heard RKZ lyrical talent on one of my favourite tracks from last year, Jus Ritz’ “Nehio Nibhani.”
Since then, RKZ has gone on to release his own mixtape and videos. But it hasn’t been up until now that I took further notice of his work, because this song and the video for it is seriously serious (yes, I just said that.)
Check out the Bharat Goel produced track “Genda Phool.”
Alright, there’s a hindi sample in the song (from Delhi 6 if you’re wondering.) But is this video not amazingly different? I think the concept of the video and the track is in sync with each other.
Even Bharat Goel has stepped up his work. I guess it’s the fact that RKZ’ vocals work well with his music. I never was feeling Bharat Goel’s work before, because the majority of it was with Pankaj Khanna – look up “Club Vich,” and you’ll understand what I’m saying.
RKZ is signed on to the DAS Records Label, and if you go to their website, you can download his mixtape “Mr Entertainer” for free.
