I’m a bit late to the party on this one.
After hooking up with Bharat Goel on “Genda Phool,” RKZ has collaborated with him again, and presents us with another free download.
The track plays along the same lines as “Genda Phool,” with a sample taken from the movie Life Partner. Yet again, it works.

I first heard RKZ lyrical talent on one of my favourite tracks from last year, Jus Ritz’ “Nehio Nibhani.”
Since then, RKZ has gone on to release his own mixtape and videos. But it hasn’t been up until now that I took further notice of his work, because this song and the video for it is seriously serious (yes, I just said that.)
Check out the Bharat Goel produced track “Genda Phool.”
Alright, there’s a hindi sample in the song (from Delhi 6 if you’re wondering.) But is this video not amazingly different? I think the concept of the video and the track is in sync with each other.
Even Bharat Goel has stepped up his work. I guess it’s the fact that RKZ’ vocals work well with his music. I never was feeling Bharat Goel’s work before, because the majority of it was with Pankaj Khanna – look up “Club Vich,” and you’ll understand what I’m saying.
RKZ is signed on to the DAS Records Label, and if you go to their website, you can download his mixtape “Mr Entertainer” for free.

I got this press release yesterday.
DJ H & DJ RAGS
RELOADED NO. 1 IN INDIAN CHARTS
Last week DJ H and DJ Rags latest album ‘Reloaded’ was released in India
and went straight in at the number 1 spot in the official Panjabi charts
in India.
In less than a span of six days the album, which is called “Jawani” in India and
is released by Times Music rocketed to the top spot, fending off entries
from Miss Pooja, Jazzy B and Babbu Maan. The lads are also due to make a
trip to India in the next few weeks for a four city tour, unleashing their Bhangra beats across dance floors from Mumbai to Chandigarh.
This is fantastic news for the boys. The album has been received well the world over, and to shoot to number 1 in India is HUGE.
To put it into perspective of what India can do for artists; I believe Babbu Maan has sold well over 15 million albums there with just two of his hit albums.
Now that’s money in the bank.
I previously reported that DJ Sanj was releasing a Bollywood album this year before he releases another four albums. Here is the lead video off of “Bollywood Punk” titled “Hum Tume.” I’ve also posted the 2 promos I thought were previously too fruity to post. I’ve come around on the “Aahkon Mein” one.
“Bollywood Punk” is scheduled to release in October.
DJ Sanj “Aahkon Mein”
DJ Sanj “Dil Rooba”
They royally effed up this video.
Here was an opportunity to do something big.
I think I can name off the handful of times any turbaned fella has appeared in a Hip Hop video:
Cocoa Brovaz – Won on Won
Wu Tang Clan – Ice Cream
Notorious BIG – Mo Money Mo Problems
Artistically speaking, you can say that having a video featuring Snoop is a chance to make a mark. Chance squandered.
If comedy was their intent, they failed.
Barring the actual concept of the video, even the quality is lacking. It’s rumoured that Snoop dug into his pockets and forked over a million dollars for the video. If that’s what you can get for a million bucks, then obviously I need to get myself into the video making business.
Where didn’t they fail? Snoop Dogg can theoretically add a billion people to his fan base. RDB can say they were the pioneers of linking up with someone as big as Snoop, and probably have opened up some new doors for themselves. Even the Producers of the movie have generated enough hype to possibly make this the largest grossing movie ever in Bollywood.
As a fan of both Snoop and RDB, I’d expect a little something-something as well.
They failed.
The “Singh is Kinng” video featuring Snoop Dogg and Akshay Kumar is just about set to be released. The release of the project has been delayed some because the Director of the video was arrested in the UK for failing to show the contents of his baggage to Airport Security.
The official word from Magic Number Films:
After nearly a week of interrogation by airport officials in the UK, Strangio Odeur has been released, according to a statement made this morning by his attorney.
Odeur was en route to Los Angeles via Finland to deliver the original production tapes of his Director’s cut for, ‘Singh is King’- the music video. After officials requested to search his luggage, an argument ensued -and Odeur was detained indefinitely. He has now cleared customs and has boarded a flight to the United States. Odeur released this statement via his attorney:
“They can detain the body of Strangio – but they can not detain the art of Strangio! Thank you to all my new fans in America and the great people of India for sending your thousands of e-mails of support. Freedom of expression is treasured worldwide…East and West unite! Prepare for my masterpiece.”
The “official word” fails to mention that he spat at the Security Official.
Am I the only one thinking that his name translates to “Strange Odour?”
While we wait for the worldwide release – 7PM EST tonight, have a look at Snoop getting his turban tied by RDB’s Manj.
The Bilz and Kashif are busy doing just that, making them Bills.
Starting tonight at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, the Bachchan family alongside The Bilz kickoff the Unforgettable tour.
To coincide with the tour, The Bilz have released the first single “Turn the Music Up” from their upcoming album.
If that wasn’t enough, they’ve also inked a deal to feature their previous two singles “2-Step Bhangra” and “O Meri Rani” on an upcoming Bollywood animated movie “Ekeh Version 2.0.” For you Bollywood buffs, the movie stars Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan, Koena Mitra.
The Video should be up in the near future as well. I’m not feeling the tune at the mo, but that could be because of big Baba Kahn.
Dj Sanj has been a busy man. Jet setting around the world, the man has been busy DJing, producing music for his albums, movies, and even an Aishwarya Rai Lux soap commercial.
This year, he plans on releasing 5 albums, which include a compilation/best of album, 2 bhangra projects, and a Bollywood House album.
The first project set to be released is the Bollywood/Hip Hop fused album “Bollywood Punk.”
I had 3 promos from this album, but “Hum Tum” was the only one I could put up without feeling too fruity.
