Old School Sunday – Anaamika “Teri Meri”

If you’ve heard of the group Anaamika before, then give yourself two points and a high-five.

Anaamika was a Coventry based group that released their debut album “Anonymous” in 1989. “Teri Meri” along with “Peengha Pyar Di Ya” were by far their most popular songs. The latter of which was also remixed by Bally Sagoo on “Wham Bam.”

For some reason, I always felt that the group’s songs gave off a Western (as in Cowboys) vibe. I still can’t shake that feeling when I listen to their music today.
