Imran Khan “Unforgettable”
2007 saw the release of one of the best singles you probably never heard, Imran Khan’s “Ni Nachle.” Imran had hopes of releasing the entire album, titled “Unforgettable” last October, but the label shelved the project with piracy running rampant.
With crazy demand by the fans, the label decided to go forth with the release. Official dates are still not confirmed, but the cover artwork is up.
I managed to get a couple of samples from the album, and what I once thought would be truly “unforgettable” has now made me think the opposite. I know I’ve been harping on artists a bit these days, but listen for yourself, one song has the same verse as “Ni Nachle,” and the production seems to be knockoffs of Dre and Neptunes beats.
Imran, a native of Holland, wrote most of the lyrcis himself while adding co-production credits to the album. He promises that the 15 track album will set him apart from other artists that are taking the Pop Bhangra route. Make me eat my words dude.
In case you missed it, here’s the “Ni Nachle” video from last year.
